Frequently Asked Questions

Are there helmets or cars available for rent during ND Drift events?

You’ll need to bring your own vehicle and helmet if you want to drive at an ND Drift event. If you want to do ride-alongs as a spectator we highly recommend bringing your own DOT-certified or SNELL-certified motorsport helmet for the best fit and comfort, but we do sometimes have donated helmets available to borrow.

Do you still drift if it’s rainy or cold?

Yes! Our events are run rain or shine. A tractor and blower are used to remove excess standing water on the track when necessary. Dress for the weather, bring an umbrella or canopy, and break out the floppy sun hats.

What event should I sign up for as a driver? What if I’m new or want to try competition?
  • If you’re new to drifting, check out the Drift Classes.
  • If you did well in the class and want to practice or work up to tandems, check out the Drifting the Plains and Hotlap events.
  • If you’re getting good at tandems and want to try some friendly competition in a stock vehicle, look into the Fargo Drifting Limited Series at Drifting the Plains events. If your ride is engine-swapped or heavily modified, the Open Series is great for you!
  • If you’re ready to step up your competition game and seriously advance your drifting career, check out the Big Money Competitions.
  • Won a few titles and thinking about going pro? The Formula Drift Licensing events are for you.
