The Grassroots Shootout is for non-professional drivers to compete for a huge check.
When does driver registration for an event OPEN? For Hotlap, Classes, and Drifting the Plains events it opens 1 month before the first day of the event. For FD and Big Money Competitions it opens in the spring.
When does driver registration for an event CLOSE? At midnight on the first day of the event. Unsold driver slots will be available for purchase at the gate when the event begins later that day.

These class weekends are a training event with no spectators where newbies can learn car control and drifting in a safe, legal environment with experienced instructors.

Bring your best vehicle, your best driver, and a top crew to compete with the top drifters in the Midwest.

The points champion at the end of the series will win a Formula Drift PROSPEC license for the following year!
What's better than a long drift course? A course that doesn't end! Hotlap events like Driftoberfest feature a continuous course setup with cars regularly entering and exiting in a loop.
